Mayo Employee Sentenced for Stealing Patient Info

A former Mayo Clinic employee will serve three years of probation for stealing patient information from the health care organization.

A federal judge Tuesday also ordered Autumn Wright to serve 300 hours of community service. The 34-year-old Rochester woman earlier pleaded guilty to one count of wrongfully obtaining health information.

Vandal Defaces Sign at Marshall Mosque

Authorities are looking for whoever vandalized a sign outside a mosque in Marshall.

The vandalism happened in late April at the Islamic Center of Marshall, where a sign was defaced with orange spray paint.

Hinckley Man Accused in Kidnap Plot

A Hinckley man is accused of trying to hire a hit man to kidnap his ex-girlfriend and either kill her or hold her as a sex slave.

Forty-five-year-old Jesse Ericson is being held in the Pine County Jail on $1 million bond without conditions.

Duluth Police Investigate Downtown Stabbing Murder

Duluth Police are investigating the city’s first murder in two years.

Police say a 28-year-old man was stabbed to death in a downtown apartment Friday. Police arrested the tenant and are holding him on suspicion of second-degree murder.

Another man has also been arrested and is suspected of aiding and abetting the murder.

Man Charged for Alleged Sex Assaults on Group Home Staffers

A Pine City man is facing multiple charges for allegedly sexually assaulting two staff members at the group home where he lived.

Thirty-six-year-old Chad Johansen is charged with one count of kidnapping and six counts of criminal sexual conduct, including two in the first degree.
