Grand Rapids Man Pleads Guilty in St. Cloud Break-in, Assault

A Grand Rapids man has pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder after breaking into a stranger's house in St. Cloud and beating and choking him.
Corey Becker also pleaded guilty Monday to one count of kidnapping in Stearns County. The 21-year-old says he doesn't remember anything about the June incident because he was drunk.

Deer River Woman Gets 5 Years for Grand Rapids Robbery

A Deer River woman has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison for robbing a Grand Rapids business of about $350.
Twenty-five-year-old Diana Jones pleaded guilty Monday in Istasca County court to one felony count of first degree aggravated robbery. She was charged in the Oct. 10 robbery of Stokes Printing.

Northstar Train Vandalized in Big Lake

Big Lake police are investigating after a Metro Transit Northstar train was vandalized last week.

Police say the vandalism happened around 2 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, when the train was parked at a service facility near Highway 10 and County Road 43 in Big Lake.

A witness reportedly saw a suspicious pickup with Texas registration. 

Plea Entered in Rochester DUI Crash that Killed 9-Year-Old Boy

A man accused of driving the wrong way on a Rochester street while intoxicated and causing a fatal crash has entered a plea to vehicular homicide charges.
Gerald Mohs entered a Norgaard plea of guilty Tuesday, meaning he doesn't remember the events, but acknowledges the state has sufficient evidence for a conviction.

Charges Filed after St. Cloud Man Asked Child to Come Home with Him

Authorities have charged a St. Cloud man who they say put his finger in the mouth of a 3-year-old girl at the city library and asked her to come home with him.

Stearns County Officials Uncover Marijuana Growing Operation

Stearns County investigators say they executed a search warrant and uncovered an active marijuana growing operation in St. Cloud.

The search warrant was executed Tuesday at a home on the 25200 block of 58th Avenue. Investigators say they went to the home because the resident had previously received a citation from a Stearns County deputy.
