Prairie Island Plans Nuclear Emergency Drill for Tuesday

Emergency workers from three counties in Minnesota and Wisconsin will respond to a nuclear emergency at the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant Tuesday. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) is telling residents not to be alarmed, that it's only a drill.

Duluth Water Park Moves to Head Off Parasite<br />

A popular Duluth water park plans to install new water purification equipment in hopes of preventing more cases of a parasitic disease.

Officials with the Edgewater Resort and Water Park and its parent company, ZMC Hotels, announced Sunday they're investing $100,000 in state-of-the-art equipment that uses ultraviolet light to kill microbes.
