Kids are learning to make smart decisions with their money, and it could pay off.

An essay contest is asking kids in grades 3-5 to respond to the question, “What three steps can you take this month to make smart decisions with your money?” The contest is sponsored by Gov. Mark Dayton, the Twins, and the Department of Commerce.

Winners will get four free tickets to a Twins game, baseball memorabilia signed by Twins players, and recognition on the big screen during the baseball game.

The 300-word responses are due Monday, April 30, to anne.oconnor@state.mn.us.
