Service Held for Young Victim of Sauk Rapids Plane Crash

A memorial service is scheduled for the teenage victim of a plane crash in Sauk Rapids.          

St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis says a service will be held Wednesday for 16-year-old Alexander Voigt at the River's Edge Convention Center in downtown St. Cloud.          

Memorial Services Set for Oberstar

Three Minnesota memorial services have been set to honor Congressman Jim Oberstar.
    
Two of those services will be held in northeastern Minnesota, the territory the congressman served for 18 terms. Oberstar died last month at his home in suburban Washington, D.C., at age 79.

The Minnesota National Guard says five of its members have been injured in an attack in Afghanistan.
    

Benefit Planned for Duluth Student Who Spent Freezing Night on Porch

The University of Minnesota Duluth student found unconscious after nine hours in subzero temps earlier this month is coming to terms with what has happened and what's in store, according to her family.
