Stearns County Commissioner Reappointed to PERA Board

Stearns County Commissioner Leigh Lenzmeier has been reappointed to the Public Employees Retirement Association Board of Trustees.

The announcement, made by Gov. Mark Dayton, means Lenzmeier will serve on the PERA Board through 2016. He first started serving on the board in 2011, according to information from Stearns County.

SCSU Science and Engineering Dean Announces Resignation

The St. Cloud State College of Science and Engineering dean announced he will be resigning effective June 1.

David DeGroote started at SCSU as a faculty member in 1985 and also served as the chair of the Biological Sciences Department before becoming dean in 2003.

Stearns County Board and Committee Members Honored

Stearns County Board and Committee Members Honored

Sixteen outgoing Stearns County board and committee members were honored at a recent Board of Commissioners meeting.

According to the county, the members offered a combined total of 122 years of volunteer service. They each received a plaque from Board Chair Jeff Mergen at the Feb. 12 meeting.
